Father's Day weekend, 2010

Arrive in Chrystal City, Washington, D.C. on Friday, June 16th. Met some awesome young ladies at the hotel that are Gold Star, Air Force brats like myself. We all went over to the new Air Force Monument and listened to their band. What a wonderful evening.

We then ran like mad dogs to grab something to eat and catch the chartered bus to take members of Sons and Daughters In Touch to The Wall. We, also went to the Korean War Memorial. That will make you really think about what our soldiers go through. God bless them all!

This is the memorial head stone for my father and his crew located in Arlington Cemetery.

Sometimes we can clean up pretty well. This was before the
dinner on Saturday night. The dinner was pretty good.
Met some lovely people at breakfast at a nearby mall. Ended up they were
our table partners. God works in some interesting
ways!

The next morning, we washed The Wall. It was the first time we were allowed to do this on Father's Day. What an honor! I was able to wash the panel that has my Dad's name etched.

The 20th Annual Father' Day Celebration began at 10:00. We laid a wreath and roses at The Wall after prayer and speeches by members of Son's and Daughter's In Touch.
